let’s talk about cameras real quick, specifically the difference between DSLR and mirrorless.
DSLRs — that stands for Digital Single Lens Reflex.
It’s basically the classic type of camera that’s been around forever, and maybe the one you think of when someone says “pro camera.”
Here’s how it works:
Light comes through the lens, bounces off a mirror inside the camera, and that’s how you see the image through the viewfinder - (the thing you put your eye on).
When you press the shutter, that mirror flips up and click the photo is taken and recorded to a digital memory card
Now let’s talk mirrorless cameras which, just like it sounds, has no mirror inside. Its the streamlined version of the DSLR.
The light goes straight through the lens to the sensor.
Here’s how it works:
That means what you see on the screen (or in the electronic viewfinder) is exactly what your photo will look like.
It’s like real-time feedback super helpful in dark spaces like birth rooms or when you need to change your settings quickly.
